Seminario Italiano di Budo
- Aikido
- Iaido
- Jodo
A four-day summer intensive of Japanese budo and calligraphy taught by three Shumeikai Italia teachers: aikido with sword and staff, Muso Shinden-ryu iaido, Shinto Muso-ryu jodo and shodo, all built around one shared theme. It moves around Italy; the 2026 and 2027 editions are at a farm stay in Solferino, near Lake Garda.
- The style
- Several Japanese budo arts and shodo, Japanese calligraphy, practiced around one shared theme and its use in each discipline. The format follows a tradition begun in France in 1980 with the Stage des Iles seminars.
- Lineage
- Its teachers trained under senior shihan. Daniele Romanazzi received Aikikai shodan at Hombu from Tamura Sensei in 1992. Maria Rosa Valluzzi began aikido in Padua in 1993 under Tada Shihan, and met Pascal Krieger at a seminar at Les Iles de Lérin.
- The teacher
- Lorenzo Trainelli has practiced since 1977. He holds Aikikai 6th dan, received in Tokyo in 2018 from Yamada Shihan, and Shinto Muso-ryu jodo Menkyo-kaiden, received in Geneva in 2022 from Krieger.
Thursday 8 to Sunday 11 July 2027 (save the date; details to follow).
